Hon. Shreekantjee taking Darshan of Shree's Paduka.

Festival Gurupurnima was celebrated in Gurumandir, Akkalkot on Sunday, 16th July. It was a full moon day and also it was a moonar eclipse. Guru Purnima  is a day on which there is grand Pooja  (worship) of Shree. All Agnihotri brothers came togather from various parts of India and participated in the festival. The Pooja strated at 9.00 am and lasted after about an hour and it was performed by Hon. Mrs. & Mr. Shreekantjee. After Pooja  there is a Prasad (the Lunch) for all people and around 5000 people were gathered.After the lunch there is a procession which starts and concludes at Guru Mandir, Akkalkot. The procession is a statue of Lord Dattatraya and his Paduka. The procession was accompanied by about 2000 people. During this procession a common Agnihotra was performed.
