Chiro-Camp

	The Chiropractic-Camp Dec 19th to Dec.26th 2000.
On the open grounds of Shivapuri ashram in Akkalkot a free ' Chiro - practic' treatment camp was organized during Dec 19th to Dec.26th 2000. A team of 13 young Chiropractors studying at the 'Life Chiropractic College' headed by Dr. Louis Leonardi had come from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Since more than 25 years Dr. Leonardi is a highly reputed Chiropractor in the U.S. and has also served as an official Chiropractor of the Olympic games. He has also taught in the school of Chiropractic in Atlanta. He is practicing the Vedic healing fire of Agnihotra since last four years and is keen in sharing it with others. The group of visiting American Chiropractors was full of dedication and feeling of service to the needy, poor and diseased. In the first 3 days more than three thousand patients were adjusted. Huge queues were to be seen outside the camp from early morning.		Patients from Akkalkot and a surrounding area of about 100 miles were pouring in thousands. The immediate and visible effect of this method of treatment in curing the ailments had a snow-balling effect on the turnout of patients. Patients who got cured went back and sent in more patients. Some of the cases, which were healed in the past week, were nothing short of a "miracle". The patients were brought in on a stretcher and 'walked out ' on their own in just one sitting. Patients who needed more than one sitting were cal-led back for adjustment. Looking at the overwhelming response and turnover of the patients, the doctors and organizers decided to keep the service round the clock. Arrangement for Prasad ( food ) for all the patients was also provided free of cost by the organizers. The evening Agni-hotra was per-formed daily during the camp. The benefits of Agnihotra and other details were explained to all the patients.

For the doctors who had come here, this was the first time that they were treating patients on such a large scale and they themselves were impressed by the results. Through out the camp the presence of Shree's Grace was experienced by patients and doctors alike. Dr. Leonardi in his speech on the occasion of the 'Bodhi Din' of Param Sadguru Shree, on 25th Dec. said " It is 'HE" who heals through our hands." After being introduced to the Vedic Healing fire of 'Agnihotra' and about 2 weeks stay in the holy Yajnya Nagar of Shivapuri some of the doctors have expressed their wish		to commence the practice of Agnihotra & to come back to Shivapuri for similar camps in future. CHIRO PRACTIC is a science, which deals with hundreds of ailments and gives quick relief. Even in ancient times the technique of Chiropractic was known to the world but recently it has been developed in a very organized and scientific manner and offered to the world in the USA. The human body is controlled and coordinated by the Nerve system. Manipulation of the structure of the spinal column and making specific adjustments or corrections of spinal and pelvic segmental articular derangements is the principal of
	this system of healing. It is a science of treating human diseases by manipulating and adjusting the spine and also other parts of the body. It uses only the hands. It's easy and gentle and does not hurt. The 'adjust-ment' continues to represent a primary procedure in the Chiropractic methods. The American Chiropractors explained that chiropractic is a science, which deals with the anatomical harmony and disharmony. If the mechanical integrity of the body is maintained then it naturally results in physical health and decrease in pain.
