Dear Brother/ Sister -  
The ‘Rejuvenation of Vedas ‘ by Shree happened as per the Divine Plan. It ushered in the ‘New Era’ of universal peace, happiness and brotherhood. To extend relief and to bring happiness to all in  these times of distress Param-Sadguru  Shree  Gajanan  Maharaj of Shiva-puri,  Akkalkot (‘Shree’ to us all)has offered us the easily practicable and most result oriented Veda ordained  Five Fold Path. It con-sists of Yajnya (Agnihotra), Daan, Tapa, Karma and Swad-hyay. This Five Fold Path 

 is the essence of Vedas and can be conveniently adopted by any-one anywhere. The good news is, over the past years, the message of Five Fold Path has spread to almost all parts of the world. Innumerable families and individuals in various parts of the world, belonging to different religions nationality, co-lours etc. are practicing daily Agni-hotra. They are experiencing im-mense benefits from the practice and their lives have become joyful and meaningful attracting others to this discipline. Today people every-where are keen to know about Agnihotra. 

Hence, it has become  extremely necessary that we urgently in-tensify our propagation efforts with all the available resources and our ultimate aim should be to reach each and every human being. The Institute For Studies In Vedic Sciences ( Shivapuri, Akkalkot) understands this urgent  need and gearing up to attend to this important mission of the time proposes to celebrate ‘WORLD AGNIHOTRA DAY’ on 12th March 2000 with a view to achieve the following: - To surrender oursel-ves with all our faculties and abi-lities at the Divine Mission  of ‘SHREE’ of spreading  Five Fold Path.

 This is ‘SATYAM SHARANAM GACHAMI’. To consolidate and intensify our practice of Five Fold Path and daily Agnihotra with utmost sincerity and dedication so as  to lead the ideal Agnihotra way of ‘life-style‘. This will have its impact on others when  approached, while propagating Agnihotra, and will help to bring in favourable results. This is 'SATYA  DHARMA  SHARANAM GACHAMI‘ To nurture the sincere feeling of universal brotherhood and love amongst the followers  of Five Fold Path every where. This is 'SATYA DHARMA SANG- HAM SHARANAM GA-CHAMI.'

This day 12th March, chosen for celebrating ‘WORLD AGNIHO- TRA DAY ‘ is significant because on this day in 1942 the Divine Incarnation, Lord Parshurama, appeared in physical form for the first time before Shree and initiated ‘Him’ with the most mystic ‘Tripuri’ (Srividya) mantra. Following this, on 21. 9. 1944, to offer ‘His’ ‘Guru-dakshina’ at the Lotus feet of His Supreme Master, Shree took the most difficult vow ‘I  WILL RESUSCITATE THE VEDAS '

On the same day descended the divine ‘Saptashloki’ (Seven Verses ), Shrees prescription for a code of conduct ( Five Fold Path ) based on Vedas. This day, 12th March, may be celebrated individually or collec-tively with zeal and sincere desire  to achieve our aim of reaching to one and all with the Divine message. We give hereunder a suggestive guide-line which should help organize the event with success.- All should assemble in the morning at a decided place. Exactly at 10 am ‘ Vyahruti’

Homa should  be performed fol-lowed by chanting of Saptashlo-ki and other Veda mantras. If time permits, Homas like ‘Vhyaruti’ and ‘Tryambakam’ should be per-formed for the benefit of all. To propagate door-to-door the mes-sage of Agnihotra, individuals or groups should earmark their areas of work for the day and cover a many house holds, institutions, societies,  schools, colleges, public places, as possible.

 The energy should be concentrated on effectively spreading the message of Agnihotra to a large section of the populace. A select group of experts from amongst  you should organize public welfare activities like free medical treatment, cleaning the housing complexes, roads and other places after obtaining  necessary  permission etc. Some amongst you can organize message giving pro-cessions with demonstration etc.

Renowned public figures devoted to social welfare work should be approached ( quite in advance ) and after acquainting them fully with our mission and its aim and objectives should be invited to address the gathering on the subject  for effective and favorable response. Sunset Agnihotra should be performed in a public place and as far as possible all present should be encouraged to join the chanting of the Agnihotra mantras at the exact time when the oblations are offered to the fire. Prior to this the assembly should be acquainted with the mantras by repeatedly asking them to chant with you for correct result. All available and possible media instruments should be used to effectively spread  the message in every nook and corner of the village/town/ city/metro. We extend our good wishes for this auspicious occasion and are confident that you all will join us  in organizing various activities on the ‘ WORLD AGNIHOTRA DAY’.
